Comfort and Accessibility for All Patients

If you’re feeling anxious about an MRI, you’re not alone. Many patients experience claustrophobia, while others have difficulty lying flat due to pain or physical limitations. At Stand-Up MRI, we’ve designed our facilities and procedures to address these concerns head-on, making your MRI experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Open, Patient-Centric Design

One of the key advantages of the Stand-Up® MRI is its open configuration. Unlike traditional “tunnel” scanners, our system has no long, confined tube. Instead, you can be scanned sitting or standing, with nothing directly in front of your face or hovering overhead. This drastically reduces feelings of claustrophobia. Plus, our MRI rooms are equipped with comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV, so you can watch a show or movie during your scan—a welcome distraction that helps you relax and remain still for the best imaging results.

Tailored for Mobility and Special Needs

Because the Stand-Up® MRI eliminates the need to lie completely flat, it’s a great option for patients whose discomfort or mobility issues make traditional MRI machines difficult to tolerate. We can accommodate individuals who use wheelchairs or who are unable to lie down due to pain or medical conditions. Our scanner’s wide, open design can also fit patients weighing up to 500 pounds, ensuring that more people have access to the imaging they need without worrying about physical constraints.

A Supportive Team at Your Side

From the moment you walk in, our caring staff is here to answer questions, guide you through the MRI process, and help alleviate any fears. We’ll talk you through each step of the exam, ensuring you understand what to expect and feel comfortable throughout the experience. By creating an environment focused on patient well-being and offering state-of-the-art imaging technology, Stand-Up MRI provides a superior alternative for anyone seeking a stress-free, high-quality MRI scan.
